1. Introduction

Rise (“the App”) helps you organize recurring tasks, plan your day, and keep a balanced routine. We value your privacy and designed Rise so your data stays under your control.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

2. Data We Collect

Rise is built to store as much of your information locally on your device as possible. We do not operate external servers and do not collect personal data on our own backend.

2.1 Information You Provide

• Tasks, routines, schedules, settings, and preferences — stored securely on your device and synced via your private iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit.
• Calendar access — if you choose to connect Apple Calendar. Rise reads and writes events only after you grant permission.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

Rise does not collect analytics, usage data, or personal information outside of Apple’s platform-level diagnostics (if enabled on your device).

3. How Your Data Is Used

Your data is used only to provide core app functionality:

• Creating and managing tasks and routines
• Syncing data across your devices using iCloud
• Integrating with Apple Calendar
• Delivering notifications and reminders
• Personalizing scheduling suggestions (processed locally on your device)

Rise does not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

4. Data Storage and Sync

All personal data is stored in one of two places:

1. On your device, using Apple’s secure storage.
2. In your private iCloud account, synchronized using CloudKit.

Your iCloud data is associated only with your Apple ID and is governed by Apple’s privacy policies.

We do not have access to your iCloud data.

5. Third-Party Services

Rise uses only the following Apple system services:

• iCloud / CloudKit (for sync)
• Apple Calendar (optional integration)
• Apple Notifications
• Apple Speech Recognition (optional, if the user enables voice entry)

All processing is handled by Apple under their respective privacy policies. Rise does not integrate with any external analytics or advertising platforms.

6. Permissions

The app may request permissions for:

• Notifications — to remind you about tasks
• Calendar — to read or write events
• iCloud — to sync across devices
• Microphone (optional) — for speech-to-text input
• These permissions are optional; features may be limited if you decline them.

7. Data Retention

Your data stays on your device and in your iCloud account until you remove it.

You can delete all information at any time by:

• Deleting tasks and routines manually, or
• Deleting the app (which removes local data; iCloud data can be deleted in iOS Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage).

8. Children’s Privacy

Rise is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Security

We rely on Apple’s built-in security mechanisms to protect your data. This includes on-device encryption, secure iCloud communication, and sandboxing.

We do not transmit or store your data on external servers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect improvements or legal requirements. The latest version will always be available in the App and on the App Store listing.
